The Ploughboys
The Ploughboys

Australian band The Ploughboys bring their brand of raucous folk-rock to Speyfest as part of a two month long European tour. Their sound has been described as "Australian flavoured celtic roots rock folk music with sublime balladry that has driven many a sane man to fits of hysterical sobbing and more than a few well-balanced women to bouts of whisky-fuelled interpretative dance". You've been warned!!! For over 10 years now The Ploughboys have enthralled festival crowds in places as far apart as Sweden and Singapore, Hobart and Helsinki. Lead singer and principal songwriter for the band, Damian Howard is also forging a successful solo career with the release of his debut album "One" in June last year.

The Ploughboys are:

  • Damian Howard - vocals, accordian, acoustic guitar and keyboards
  • Jason King - vocals and guitar
  • Tony O'Neil - fiddle, mandolin and vocals
  • Sandy Brady - bass and backing vocals
  • Jon Emry - drums and backing vocals
